If it is determined as necessary for part of your treatment, you will not be charged any additional costs for the provision of massage creams and oils, resistance bands, sports tapes, acupuncture needles or tubi-grip compression garments.

Some items including heel wedges, orthotics, specialist exercise equipment and joint braces can be provided at an additional cost.

At your initial appointment, your physiotherapist will listen to you explaining your problem and symptoms.

Follow up questions from your physio will help form hypotheses of what may be causing or contributing to your problem.

A physical examination is then carried out to test the hypotheses.

Your physio will then explain what is going on and provide some treatment options.

Typical treatment modalities include hands-on treatment and self-managed home treatment strategies such as exercises and activity modification advice.

You will require a referral if you are a GPMP (formally EPC), CTP or DVA client.

As a primary practitioner, private clients do not necessarily need a referral. Physio Dan accepts new and existing walk in clients provided they have booked an appointment.
