Exercise Therapy and Rehabilitation

Exercise therapy is effective for long term recovery outcomes and preventing future injuries. It is a movement-based approach useful in:

  • Post-surgery rehabilitation
  • Sports injuries rehabilitation
  • Chronic back and neck pain
  • managing physical impairments
  • restoring musculoskeletal and joint function
  • neurorehabilitation
  • reducing pain and fatigue
  • improving strength and fitness and general well-being
  • assisting motor development and function

Depending on your needs and capabilities, exercise therapy can include passive, active or active assisted movements.

A treatment plan begins with identifying your capabilities and goals, and tailoring a graded exercise program that you can complete for yourself at home. Subsequent physiotherapy sessions are mainly indicated to track progress and modify exercises accordingly. Physio Dan focuses on promoting effective self-management strategies and empowering you to self-manage your recovery and prevention of future injuries.

Prescribed exercises are also chosen depending on the amount and type of equipment you may have regular access to, and tailored to your strength, load and joint range capabilities. At Physio Dan, we are very capable to develop an effective exercise program without the need for expensive equipment or gym memberships.
