Aquatic Physiotherapy

Aquatic Physiotherapy (sometimes referred to as Hydrotherapy) involves the use of water-based movements to treat various conditions. The aquatic environment is highly versatile, and exercise intensities can be managed very effectively based on your needs and capabilities.

Physio Dan offers both individual and group aquatic physiotherapy sessions. The physiotherapist will guide the group or individual through tailored exercises.

Aquatic physiotherapy is especially ideal for those seeking improved fitness, injury rehabilitation or those with chronic health conditions. You will be guided through specific exercises and use a variety of aquatic-based exercise equipment to achieve your rehabilitation or fitness goals.

Your progress will be assessed every session to make the appropriate modifications to your program, ensuring you are getting maximum benefit from aquatic physiotherapy.

Aquatic Physiotherapy is also ideal for children with a variety of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions and may even form an important part in your child’s NDIS plan. Children under 18 years are ineligible for participating in group sessions. Please contact Physio Dan to discuss whether aquatic physiotherapy is ideal for your child.

Both individual and group aquatic physiotherapy sessions are 45 minutes in length and are held at various swimming facilities.
